White Sands condominium is located on West Gulf Drive in the middle of
Sanibel Island, Florida, close to Tarpon Bay Road.
White Sands is an exclusive condominium complex with only 14 units sitting on three beautifully manicured private acres directly
on the Gulf of Mexico. Guests at White Sands enjoy the use of our large private heated pool, private
tennis court, and gas grills that are on the property, as well as the the incredible white sand
beaches that Sanibel is known for.
Note: The oil spill resulting from the recent Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion is hundreds of miles away, with the closest point being in the Florida
panhandle, leaving the Sanibel beaches completely untouched. The experts are predicting that the loop currents in the
Gulf will draw the oil due south, completely missing the Sanibel beaches.
This condo is our family vacation home on Sanibel Island, Florida and we offer
it for rent to others. It is a direct Gulf front condo in a small complex with only 13 other condos,
so it is very exclusive and private. Our condo has 2 full bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a den with quality sleeper sofa
that makes sleeping six very comfortable. We continually upgrade the unit to keep it nice for our

Our condo is a direct Gulf front unit. The view from our unit is direct out to the Gulf,
overlooking beautiful natural vegetation of seagrapes, sea oats, and palms.
Our primary view is over the native vegetation and beach straight out to the Gulf, where warm waters wash up
on Sanibel's 15 miles of beautiful uninterupted beach.
Sanibel Island is perfect for a beach vacation. The beaches are wide and
natural, and they are sprinkled with seashells that Sanibel is known for worldwide.
While looking for unique shells you can walk 15 miles of uninterrupted Gulf of Mexico
beach. The warm gulf waters are seldom rough, and the water depth increases gradually
from the beach providing a large swimming area and discouraging boats from coming in too close
to swimmers. There are no undertow's or riptides to worry about in these calm Gulf waters.
Besides the beach, take advantage of White Sands private tennis court and heated pool. There is little
chance of them ever being crowded since you're only sharing them
with the 13 other condos in White Sands! Explore the island
on the 23 miles of
bike paths, part of
which is right infront of White Sands. We generally have bikes for your use in the ground floor storage unit for our condo.

Sanibel is a coastal barrier island, located just off the coast of Fort Myers, Florida. There are many things that make
Sanibel unique and reminiscent of old Florida - there are no traffic lights, neon lights, or tall buildings on the island.
The formation of the J.N. "Ding" Darling Wildlife refuge over half a century ago
set the stage for a stringent development plan and zoning code that have allowed the island to carefully develop
with modern conveniences while preserving a very natural appearance.
The Fort Myers airport is less than an hour away, and it is serviced
by many major airlines. The Cape Coral airport is another 20 minutes further and is served by some additional airlines.

restaurants on Sanibel and Captiva Islands.

Features of our condo:
- Master Bedroom has a new bedroom set, with a king size bed, two night stands, and dresser. There is an
LCD flat screen TV mounted on the wall. The sliding doors to the balcony provide an outstanding view of the Gulf.
- Master bathroom has his and hers granite vanities and sinks, separate from the
room with the toilet and full size tub with shower.
- Second bedroom has twin beds and plantation shutters on the window that can totally block out light.
- Den has a luxury queen sized sleeper sofa with extra thick mattres (new in 2007), as well as a TV with cable and VCR.
- The second full bathroom has a full size tub and shower, toilet and granite vanity sink.
- The kitchen features all electric appliances: dishwasher, electric range with self cleaning oven,
refrigerator-freezer with icemaker, built in microwave oven and disposer. There are pots, pans,
plates, glassware, silverware, etc. so you should have everything you need for meal preparation.
The dishwasher, range, micro, glassware and silverware were new in 2006.
- There is a full sized washer and dryer in a laundry closet off the main hallway across from the kitchen.
- Living room has a sofa, loveseat, swivel rocker, new remote control color TV, video cassette
recorder, DVD player and stereo. Triple sliding glass doors open fully onto
the screened balcony directly overlooking the Gulf, natural area and the beach.
- The balcony stretches across the front of the whole condo (both living room and master
bedroom),and has a dining table, chairs and a reclining lounge chair.
- DSL modem is on the wall in the dining area for high speed internet and access is free
- Large heated swimming pool.
- Private tennis court on the grounds is shared by just the 14 units at White Sands!
- All linens, towels and cookware are provided. (beach towels are not provided)
- Our condo is on the first floor, which is about 10 feet above the ground. Storage lockers are on the ground level.
- Elevator is directly outside our condo, and a stairway is at each end of the building.
- From the condo to the beach is all hard surface walkways, with ramps at all elevation changes.
- Electric heat and air conditioning.
- There are typically some bikes, folding beach chairs, beach toys, and wacky noodle floats
in the storage locker on the ground floor of the building, but none of this is guaranteed as they are easily
lost and broken.

Rental Terms
- We use a professional cleaning service to clean after all guests, so you don't have
to do a thing.
- This is a non-smoking unit!!!
- No pets, motorcycles,campers, RV's or trailers are allowed on the property per association rules.
- No more than six people may stay in the condo overnight.
- The renter must be at least 25 years old and be onsite during the rental period.
- 11% for the state and county lodging taxes are collected on each rental.
- A combined booking fee and damage waiver fee of $75.55 is collected on each rental. This avoids the need for a damage deposit.
- All costs are quoted in U.S. dollars.
- Final payment is due prior to the beginning of the rental period.
- All payments are non refundable.

How renting from us works
- Call or e-mail us to determine the rate for your desired stay.
- Let us know that you have decided that you want to make a reservation.
- We will let our rental agent know that you are renting from us and the terms we've agreed on.
- The rental agent (RE/MAX of the Islands) will send you a confirmation letter, and request the deposit and downpayment.
- You will need to sign one copy of the confirmation letter, and mail it back to
our agent with the deposit for your reservation.
- If you would like travel insurance, RE/MAX has that available through
CSA Travel Protection
- You will send RE/MAX a check for the balance before arriving on Sanibel.
- When you arrive on Sanibel you will go to the RE/MAX office to pick up
the keys. Their office is near Bailey's shopping plaza, about a mile from the condo, on your way to White Sands.
They have a lockbox for after hours pick up, but you have to call
ahead to arrange the late pick up.
- Enjoy your vacation!
- If you have any problems with the condo, you can call RE/MAX anytime for help.
- Return the keys to the RE/MAX office by 10am on your check out day.
